North America is a huge continent that is home to a large number of different peoples, each of which is distinctive and unique, with its own traditions and customs.
The Indian population, which has kept its population of about 15 million people (considerable reduction of the population due to diseases, different kinds of infringements, and also full displacement from native lands to reservations), is located in the USA (5 million people - 1.6% of all population) and Mexico, they speak their languages and dialects, honor and keep the customs and culture of their people. According to various sources in the pre-Columbian period there were up to 18 million Indians living on the territory of North America.
